Where are you going to college? And Why?

I am going to Holy Cross because it is the best fit for me in all aspects. It has great academics, a very close-knit and devoted soccer team, and a very friendly and outgoing campus life.

What are you most excited for?

I am most excited to play at the collegiate level. I think that it will be honorable to represent my school and to play against other athletes who have worked just as hard as I have to get here and who are in the same position I am. I am excited for the traveling and the privileges that come with playing soccer at the Division One Level.

What was the recruitment process like?

For me, the recruitment process was very humbling. You are going to find schools that you aren't interested in, and some that aren't interested in you and that is a hard thing to hear but it helps you to realize that everyone is looking for something different and you have to find your perfect match in terms of a coach who wants the type of player you are.

Do you have any advice for our athletes who want to pursue soccer in college?

My advice to athletes who want to play in college would be to be persistent. Just because a coach does not email you back at first, or doesn't come to see you play at a showcase, does not mean they are not interested. College coaches are very busy and they take note of the people who make themselves known by their interest in both the school and the soccer program.

How did PTS help raise your level of play?

PTS helped me to improve my technical skills as well as my agility. Both of these skills are very important at the collegiate level.

What’s the best advice anyone has given you?

The best advice anyone has given me is not to apologize for your mistakes. My college coach actually told me that. She said that everyone makes mistakes, so there is no need to call attention to yours. The most important thing is to move on and focus on the next play.

Do you have a saying or motto that you live by?

Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Practice how you play.

Who is your favorite player?

My favorite players are Becky Sauerbrunn, Carli Loyd, Julie Johnston, and Tobin Heath.

What are your favorite cleats? Color?

My favorite cleats are the ones that I have now. They are pretty standard Adidas cleats, made of leather and they are all white with three multicolor stripes on the side.
